WB Rotarian Paula Konfara is an avid reader and lover of books. In 2021, she donated numerous children books to be delivered to the Creative Academy in Pune India. The connection? Fellow Rotarian Vinita Parekh's sister had started an activity center where children learn reading and writing at the school. Konfara observed, "Without Rotary I would never have known Vinita and these materials would never get into the hands of people who would really appreciate them. Many of the books are outdated according to USA standards and yet a treasure for those with no books." |
